Transcription: Charles Gates Dawes of Ohio was a financier, brigadier general and Nobel Prize recipient before accepting the job of vice president under Calvin Coolidge. He had also previously held the position of U.S. Controller of the Currency and was the first director of the U.S. Bureau of the Budget. He lived from 1865 to 1951.
